Data from different templates (forms) can be pulled into the same report with the use of tags.
If a report needs to show data from multiple different forms, the field in question must be tagged. This way a field can be pulled from applications in multiple grants or multiple different milestones with different templates.
Note: you can zoom in to see the images better by holding Ctrl/Cmd and using the mouse scroll wheel.
Create two grants and tag a field in each application template
1. Here's an example grant:
2. A very simple application form in the form builder:
3. Here we tag the amount requested field with the tag name "amount"
4. Publish the grant:
5. Now we create a second grant:
6. We tag the "production budget" field with the same "amount" tag:
7. And publish the grant:
Now for the applicant side
1. Here are the two grants:
2. The applicant submits an application requesting $6000:
3. And in the movie grant the applicant sets a production budget of $48,000:
The Admin creates a report showing data from different templates
1. Select Data Reports:
2. Create a Data Table:
3. Select the type of data - Applications:
4. Select the tagged field as one of the columns:
5. Fill in names for the report and data table, and see the combined data:
It's also possible to combine data from two different data tables. For details on that, see this tutorial:
