# Transferring Applicant Records

From time to time, you may encounter Applicants that have signed up more than once on the Portal, and you may wish to consolidate their accounts, or move records to a new entity. Here's how to transfe

Transferring applicant records can be helpful for merging duplicate Applicant accounts, or moving records to a new entity.

### Navigate to the Applicant record you want to transfer records from

Go to **Users > Applicants**, search for the relevant Applicant account, and click **View**.

### Click Transfer Records in the right-hand menu

This creates a preview of the records to be transferred and lets you select the new owner of the records.

### Confirm the transfer

Click **Transfer** to confirm the transfer to the new owner, or **Cancel** to abandon the process.

If you're merging two duplicate Applicant accounts, once you've confirmed there are no records left on the old account, you can click **Delete Applicant** to remove it.
