# Access Granted email notifications for new User Modes

When an existing user is granted a new User Mode — for example an Assessor being given Applicant access, or an Institution User/Verifier being given Assessor access — they now receive a short email confirming the new access. The email tells them how to switch to the new mode via the User Mode toggle in the left-hand navigation, and includes a "Sign in here" link.

Three notifications cover the roles a user can be granted:

1. **Applicant Access Granted** — sent when an existing user is granted Applicant access to a new registration entity.
2. **Assessor Access Granted** — sent when an existing user is granted Assessor access.
3. **Verifier Access Granted** — sent when an existing user is granted Verifier access (organisations that use a custom term for Verifier, e.g. "Institution", will see that term in the email).

All three are managed through the standard Email Content settings, so admins can edit the copy or disable any of them per organisation, the same as any other system email.

## Where the emails are triggered

* **Applicant Access Granted** — when an admin grants an existing Assessor Applicant access to a registration entity.
* **Assessor Access Granted** — when an admin grants an existing user Assessor access from their user profile.
* **Verifier Access Granted** — when an admin adds an existing user to a Verifier-type registration entity.
