Get up to speed with all the new features released to Tahua in Sept '22.
Grant Landing Pages
Your grant offerings now have a place to live publicly online. Publicly indexed and discoverable on Google, we’ve added the ability to create an external facing landing page for your potential applicants to find info on your grant offering or request for proposals. You can post guidelines, helpful tips and context for your applicants before they crack into their application. No applicant account required!
Applicants can learn everything they need to know about a grant before they start, which means less incomplete applications for you to monitor.
This feature is optional to turn on, on a per grant basis, so you can use it where appropriate.
Internal Admin Field Reviews and Approvals
We've added an optional extra level of security to the fields you interact with in Tahua.
Let's say you want a manager to be alerted when an employee updates the 'total funding available' field within a funding round. You can turn on 'Field Reviews' to make this happen.
In the example below, Hamish has requested that the Total funding field be updated to $5,000. As this field has been marked as sensitive, a manager would have to approve that.
Use this feature on important fields such as bank account numbers on contracts or key grant fields to guard against unwanted changes in your organisation.
Improved Milestone Exports
A much requested feature: you can now export an applicant's milestone submission as a PDF plus all of its attachments!
Just as you would with an application, go to the milestone you want to download and click 'Export to PDF'.
You'll receive a zip file containing a PDF summary of the application, plus any attachments that were included in the milestone response.
Milestone Deliverable Templates - Now Editable When Live
While we're on the subject of milestones, we've also added the ability to update milestone templates (the milestone forms that contracted applicants fill in), even after the form is live.
We know that milestone responses can often be a fluid situation, with some details needing to be amended after the applicant has been contracted. Because of this, we've opened up the ability to modify milestones even after an applicant has started filling in that milestone's deliverables.
'Act as Assessor' Feature Unlocked
Another widely requested feature, you can now act as an assessor while logged in as an admin.
For those occasions when an assessor's response to an application has a typo or they may have submitted more information after the assessment deadline. Simply go to the assessment in question and click 'act as assessor'.
Grant Opportunity Promotions and Reminders
Tahua offers a wide variety of automated email types such as 'application reminders' which alert applicants with half-finished applications that a round is closing soon.
But what if you want to alert a wider audience about one of your grant offerings? Now you can with grant reminders in the email workflow builder.
Any alert you create in this workflow will alert all applicants who've been active on your instance of Tahua within the last 6 months. You can use it to promote new grant offerings or to alert current users that an important grant is closing soon.
Batch Payments List View Improved
We've made a small improvement to the information displayed on the batch payments list, with applicant and contract names now included in the standard view.
Batch Payment Notifications
When a new Batch Payment is assigned for review, we would previously only send out a notification. Some admins could easily miss this so we've added an email to be sent out as well, if that admin has it enabled.
Form File Uploads
Bringing back an old feature from Version 1 of Tahua, you can now host files directly within the system for easy sharing with applicants.
This is a great feature for hosting downloadable PDFs such as Funding Guidelines or Request for Proposal documents.
You can upload files from the Application Form Template Builder under Settings > Templates. Simply click 'File Uploads', upload your file and then copy the newly created link to add it to your Application Form Template.
Registration Comments
There are many places throughout Tahua that you can leave comments for your colleagues, but now we've added a space for you to comment on new registrants. You can still @mention other admins, who will receive a notification to come check out the comment.
Milestone History
The history logs for milestones now feature a swathe of additional information to aid you in your audits.
Now including details about the related payments and batch payments attached to that milestone, you should be able to track down what happened with a milestone much easier than in the past.
User Sorting and Filtering
We've added the ability to filter by the name across all user types (admins, applicants, and assessors). You can sort by any of the columns with a blue heading in the user list views.
And there you have it, the bumper September issue of Tahua Monthly. We hope these new features make your life that little bit easier.
That's all from us this month. Ka kite anō.
