Feb 24 - Multi-Stage Grants and Improved Task Management

Find out about the latest updates added to Tahua in February 2024

✨ What's New ✨

Multi-Stage Grants

We are pleased to announce that we have improved support for running a multi-stage grant process such an Expression of Interest ( EOI ) and Full Proposal workflow or some kind of shortlisting process through multiple rounds.

To date this had to be run through private grants, however this provided no deep linking between the applications which limited our ability to provide a full solution to the problem.

Now within your Grants area, from the drop down menu you can add new stage/phase to a Grant by clicking on the Add Stage button.

Grant Add Stage

This will kick off the usual Grant workflow with a few differences:

1. You will be able to select the applications from the original stage that have access to the stage you are creating.

2. You will be able to select whether funding application values are copied from the original stage application into the current stage application. Applicants can still update these values in the current stage, it's just a starting point for them.

3. If you do choose to copy values you will need to use the same template or a linked template for the application form.

If you would like to understand more, see our full explanation in our knowledge base article here

Improved Task Management

You might have noticed a new item in your left hand navigation menu called "Tasks", we have added this to provide you with a dedicated area to manage all of your Tasks as well as do some new exciting things.

Firstly in addition to the Tahua system Tasks, you will be able to create manual Tasks to help keep track of your Grants workload by clicking on the "Create Task" button in the Tasks area.

Tahua Create Task

This will present you with a popup box where you can enter in your Task details including a few new properties you would not have seen before:

1. Priority - the importance of the Task and sort by it

2. Due Date - the date the task is due by which also is used to determine if a Task is overdue

3. Notes - additional longer form information about the Task to remind you of Task specifics.

4. Assigned to - who the Task is assigned to, allowing you to manage workflow of your colleagues. This defaults to yourself.

Weekly Digest Emails

You can now enable a weekly digest email within your organisation emails area to send a summary of Tahua activity to your administrators.

As always this can be turned off by individual administrators within their profile email preferences if they do not want to receive it.

Pre Formatted Text for Application Titles

Sometimes there is no candidate for an application title within an application form, so we are now offering an option to setup a pre-formatted text for application titles when setting up your grants.

If this does not relate to your organisation, don't worry, the default behaviour is to use a form field as you are currently used to.

Ability to Skip Private Grant Mailouts

In December we provided the ability to send mailouts to your applicants from your Private Grants, we appreciate this is not always required so we have provided an ability to skip this functionality if required.
